On this website, I have mentioned several times how I started Sahaja Yoga meditation and how it changed my life. The immediate benefit was going from sleeping 3 broken hours per night to finally being able to sleep 8 consecutive hours through the night!
But there were many other benefits, among them, becoming calmer and more resilient, being able to witness things that happened in my life without being put down by those events, a better and stronger focus and attention, enhanced creativity, peace and silence in my mind, and not the least, a strong joy that is present every day in my life.
If you desire it, I start the coaching session with a short meditation. This allows you to leave behind the stress of the day and the worries about what needs to happen next, so you can be in the present moment and more connected to yourself.
However, this short meditation won't be enough to rip all the benefits and receive the amazing gifts that Sahaja Yoga meditations could bring to you. Therefore, I strongly recommend to join one of the many Sahaja Yoga courses that are given for free all around the world, online or on site.
I personally volunteer twice a week to give meditation courses, and sometimes I join international meditation days that bring meditation workshops to children at school. I do this because I firmly believe that we cannot achieve peace in the world if we are not able to have peace within ourselves.

Sahaja Yoga is a meditation method, founded by Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi. The name Sahaja Yoga originates from Sanskrit, where ‘Sahaja’ means spontaneous and ‘Yoga’ connection. This spontaneous connection with our inner self is reached by the awakening of a motherly and caring spiritual energy. This energy is present in everyone and is called ‘Kundalini’ in Sanskrit.
It is possible for everyone to experience meditation, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender, age and origin. Sahaja Yoga is therefore practiced by people all over the world.
